Twilight

I have started the series. I read the 1st book yesterday (started at about 2 and finished at 12:30) I think Merrill was a little bugged - so I wont read all day today to finish #2....but I wish I could! Did anyone else cry at "The End" I'm glad Merrill wasn't home when I did. I cant wait to see what happens!!! For those who are wondering - I will find out if I'm having a boy or girl at the end of September (around my birthday!) I will post AS SOON AS I KNOW!

Pre-School Treasures

Braxton has been in school for 3 weeks now (we missed the 2nd week because of the wedding) and he is really liking the sand box. Today he got in the car and told me that he found me some treasures in the sand box today. I asked to see them, but was told I had to wait till we got home. We always go outside to take off the shoes (because of the SAND) and even then he wouldn't show me. We had to come inside so they wouldn't get "lost in the grass". Here are his 'treasures'.
I can't wait to see what he finds me tomorrow!

California

Paul and Braxton --------------------------------Annie and my mom Ring barer Braxton ----------------------------------------The new happy Ryan and Jesseca

Braxton on the way home from the wedding
We have been in California for the last week. Got back Sunday night after a long 8 hour drive - BY MYSELF! I know - I'm amazing. Braxton was the ring barer in my cousins wedding. It was too funny to watch him walk up with the rings and stand there while Ryan's brother tried to get them un-tied (I had done a double knot so they wouldn't get lost). If you are wondering about the shirt being un-tucked.....I tried to tuck it, but Ryan stopped me - "it looks awesome!" So it got left how Braxton (and Ryan) wanted it.
We were there a week - so you know we did other stuff, but I don't really want to go in to it. Just know we had a good time - went to the beach and the farmers market and a GREAT Thai place.(Thank you Craig!)
It was a good week, but we are glad to be home and back to our schedule.

The Way They Talk

I love the way kids talk. Braxton has one that I have been getting giggles
out of for about 2 weeks. When ever playing Mario Kart, he talks about
how he is going to get a "rocket bullet"
And this will help him win the "Pissen Cup"

Saturday Night Activity

While Merrill got started reading his 500 pages for the weekend (on Saturday night - smart right?)

we got to catch Grass Hoppers. They are EVERYWHERE! You can walk across the grass and its like it is raining grasshoppers from the ground. I am so glad we have grass - even if it only lasts a little while.

The boys were a little nervous at first - but got used to it and would touch them. I think Braxton broke a leg or two - he was so brave. At one point I had them some inside to eat dinner and Braxton ate and then told me he was ready to go out and play with "Mine creature". Merrick would yell at them, "I got it!" when ever he got one in his bucket (water bottle cut in half)

Coronado Hike

I know this is old news - but Merrick is sleeping, and Merrill is with Braxton at a craft thing for an hour.
A little while ago we went to the Coronado National Memorial - about 20 minutes away from our house. Got there and it was a big drive up a big mountain to look over at Mexico, our beloved neighbor to the south. When we got there we found out that there was a living cave that you could go in - if you brought your own flashlights. We did not - but if we go again - we will be sure to do just that.
We went on the hike to the top - almost. It was cloudy a ways off, but we thought it wouldn't get to us....we were wrong. Almost to the top -it started to POUR on us. We had to each hold a kid and run down the hill (almost a half mile!! wow right?) We had been planning on going to lunch on the way home, but we didn't. We had to strip the boys down to diaper/undaroos, go home, shower (to get warm) and get new, dry clothes on. THEN go to lunch. It may sound like it was a bad day - but it will always be a good memory - it was all just too funny.
(See the clouds behind me - how dumb are we?)

Brothers

Thank you Walker's for getting the boys the T-shirts on your super fun trip! I think it is so funny how sometimes I get the camera out and they run - other times they are little posers! This was one of those times.....aren't they cute?! I just love them.

New Friends

So we have some new friends. Blake is in Merrill's class, and he and his wife have 3 kids. A boy Braxton's age, and twins, a boy and girl Merrick's age - like 4 days older. Braxton and Logan are going to be in pre-school together starting Monday - you can guess how excited we all are (Me the most!) And Merrick, Chase, and Regan are going to get some time without the big brothers around to tease them. I watched the twins yesterday - and they all had a great time! Braxton was the only naughty one...and in a 2 hour time-period there was only one scream! The little ones were so funny - they went and got in Braxtons bed (A queen - isn't he lucky?!) and pretended to be sleeping. I am so glad we dot some new friends that like to hang out as much as we do!

Our Weekend at Resort Larson

My Aunt Kim and Uncle Glenn have a great house for us to go visit. And it is only 3 hours away. We went up this weekend and spent time with the family and swimming. It was a great weekend! It made me really like Sierra Vista - it is about 20 degrees cooler then in Mesa.
The boys LOVE the pool. There is a shallow part with 3 water things that squirt up - Braxton calls it "My area"....."Can we go over to my area now?"

(Braxton in his "area") My mom came out for the trip (on her way to Idaho for a 30-year Class Reunion) and we got to eat at some places that we don't have here in Sierra Vista - Olive Garden, and Cafe Rio. I got to go see a movie with my mom, Kimmy, and Logan - Batman! - so good.

(Here is my mom watching the grand-kids in the tunnel fountain) She also watched the boys so Merrill and I could go on a date. (Our first since we have moved) We went to the Scottsdale Culinary Institutes's student restaurant - and it was so good! We got some of everything - Trio of soup, Capitol Steak Cesar Salad, Fresh Mozzarella Pesto and Dried Tomato Pizza, Merrill got the BEST New York Strip Steak with a yummy sauce and diced potatoes, and I got a Spinach/Cheese ball thing in a Tomato sauce. Loved it!

We also got to see Logan's new "Lawn-mowing" hat. He is still working it out - as you can see from the soda on his shirt!
