DONE!

OK! Its done.....and the sink is working great! We both like it a lot - the color and everything! Here is the faucet...all hooked up. Weired how we had one night with out a sink and felt like we were camping!
Here you can see the wide bar - the kids like it a lot, because we popped pop corn on it, and the popper and bowl fit. And they could stand on the stools and watch!
Ahh.....so nice. The head pulls out of the faucet and switches from a regular to sprayer....so I can reach every corner of the giant sink. I could bath all my kids in it! Its that big! LOVE!

Cool Rocks

I love the granite we got! Its all cool like. Lots off different colors and shapes and sizes of crystals in the granite. I think it looks way good! I know in the pictures - you cant tell - but we had the little bar area made wider and arched so you can really use it. It was I think 11 inches wide and its now 16..............so you can sit at the bar and your knees dont bang the wall.
Our sink is really cool too. Copper with a fired finish. love it!

Granite

This morning:
(the light counter was what we had yesterday....and the SS sink)
Tonight: still not done(but almost) the counters are all on - but the back splash above the sink is too think for the faucet I got (that is totallly COOL) so they are going to shave it down and come back tomorow.
A slab like what we got:(red diamond) All cleaned off:

I hurt

Merrill had the great idea of us, as a couple, doing the P90X work out. And said if I did it with him - he wouldn't get a truck. OK.
We started today. At 5AM. 1 hour work outs 6 days a week. Very strict diet. Only one serving of carps per day for the first 4 weeks! I love bread! And rice, and pasta, and all that stuff! I hope I make it.
Today it was back and chest - so we did a billion push-ups and pull-ups. Well - I did the push ups, I didn't think I could....but I did manage to get about 7 to 10 each set. Pull-ups were a different story....sorry Merrill....but even you had a hard time! I sat on the ground and pulled a resistance band that was looped around the pull-up bar while Merrill did a few real pull-ups.
If we do "bring it" I should look really good in 3 months. Once we are done with the program I will give in and have bread toasted with butter and a big glass of orange juice every day for breakfast for a week. Only 90 days to go.....................
And don't ask for before pictures - we aren't going to scare anyone with those!

Sun!

It has been so nice outside. We spent a few hours outside taking pictures. Jumping on and off the tramp. And letting Sophie walk around and fall a lot.
Yeah - weired body thing Merrick did today.

Frosting

For RS I was asked to teach the ladies how to frost a cake. So I said yes......went to the store.........bought a LOT of butter.....15 pounds..............and made frosting all day Thursday.
OURBESTBITES.com is where I got the recipe that I used - and it is way good!

Date Night

Friday night Merrill and I went on a "hot date" as the boys have come to call it. (thanks to my mom) We got our sitter - who the kids love - and headed out not knowing what we were doing except that I wanted Olive Garden - not something that happens very often. Anyone around here knows that EVERY night is a bad night to eat out - there is a 30 min wait if you get to a restaurant after 5:45.....and we didnt get our sitter till 6:15....hence the 45 min wait. After waiting for about 20 min. I asked if we could sit at the bar...YES! So thats what we did. Had dinner and a show watching the 2 bar tenders mix drinks and wash cups in their awesome under counter sink/dishwasher. Because of the wait - we missed the movie we had planned on going to.....so we went to walk around Best Buy and decide what to do. (This is important. Because of the wait - we had to MISS our show we had planned on going to.) After talking to the sitter we headed to the theater and got tickets for the 9 o'clock showing of Valentine's Day (VERY FUNNY). About half way through, out of nowhere, a glowing something was chucked from the top row to the bottom of the screen where there are a few rows of seats that are not stadium seating (why do they even have those there...no one wants to sit there and break their neck for a movie. Merrill and I have not sat by each other in movies so that we could avoid those lame seats) Anyways - Lucky for the people who WERE sitting in those seats, no one was hit. "WHAT DO YOU CARE! YOU HAVE BEEN TEXTING THE WHOLE MOVIE ANYWAYS! LEAVE!" This is what we heard coming from the top row after the PHONE (we later realised) had been thrown. Some high school age kids (like 4) had been sitting and texting during the movie....Well I guess the older guy who was sitting next to them didnt like it. And instead of say something, ask them to move, or move him self....he thought "I will grab her phone and throw it across the theater! That will teach her!" So he did. The girl and a friend got up and left. Then came back. With a cop. They tried to find the phone down between the rows, and had no success.....so the cop made the guy come down and find it! Then they left. But wait - he needs his wife and they son - so the phone tosser came back, made it half way up the stairs, and got his wifes attention, and they all left. To go out and get banned from the theater, or arrested we dont know. But Im sure glad that we had to wait a while for dinner, or we would have missed that show!
