Sun!

It has been so nice outside. We spent a few hours outside taking pictures. Jumping on and off the tramp. And letting Sophie walk around and fall a lot.

Yeah - weired body thing Merrick did today.

Frosting

For RS I was asked to teach the ladies how to frost a cake. So I said yes......went to the store.........bought a LOT of butter.....15 pounds..............and made frosting all day Thursday.

Date Night

Friday night Merrill and I went on a "hot date" as the boys have come to call it. (thanks to my mom) We got our sitter - who the kids love - and headed out not knowing what we were doing except that I wanted Olive Garden - not something that happens very often. Anyone around here knows that EVERY night is a bad night to eat out - there is a 30 min wait if you get to a restaurant after 5:45.....and we didnt get our sitter till 6:15....hence the 45 min wait. After waiting for about 20 min. I asked if we could sit at the bar...YES! So thats what we did. Had dinner and a show watching the 2 bar tenders mix drinks and wash cups in their awesome under counter sink/dishwasher. Because of the wait - we missed the movie we had planned on going to.....so we went to walk around Best Buy and decide what to do. (This is important. Because of the wait - we had to MISS our show we had planned on going to.) After talking to the sitter we headed to the theater and got tickets for the 9 o'clock showing of Valentine's Day (VERY FUNNY). About half way through, out of nowhere, a glowing something was chucked from the top row to the bottom of the screen where there are a few rows of seats that are not stadium seating (why do they even have those there...no one wants to sit there and break their neck for a movie. Merrill and I have not sat by each other in movies so that we could avoid those lame seats) Anyways - Lucky for the people who WERE sitting in those seats, no one was hit. "WHAT DO YOU CARE! YOU HAVE BEEN TEXTING THE WHOLE MOVIE ANYWAYS! LEAVE!" This is what we heard coming from the top row after the PHONE (we later realised) had been thrown. Some high school age kids (like 4) had been sitting and texting during the movie....Well I guess the older guy who was sitting next to them didnt like it. And instead of say something, ask them to move, or move him self....he thought "I will grab her phone and throw it across the theater! That will teach her!" So he did. The girl and a friend got up and left. Then came back. With a cop. They tried to find the phone down between the rows, and had no success.....so the cop made the guy come down and find it! Then they left. But wait - he needs his wife and they son - so the phone tosser came back, made it half way up the stairs, and got his wifes attention, and they all left. To go out and get banned from the theater, or arrested we dont know. But Im sure glad that we had to wait a while for dinner, or we would have missed that show!

Flip!

I have tried a few times to get movies to work on this dang thing...and they just wont. So I have started a Flip Channel. Warning - Giant Bow Ahead!

Some friends here gave this giant bow/feather thing to Sophie for her birthday. She was letting it stay on - so I got a few shots....I think its hilarious.

Weekend up-date

We had an FRG party this weekend. FRG is a Army thing for the families of soldiers who are deployed. We had a Super Hero Party. I am a good mom (I like to think) and made capes for the children in my family.

We also had a V-day party with Merrick's preskool....they decorated cup cakes and ate the tops....Merrick is messy (like all 3 year-olds) but he loved it.

We also went to Costco this weekend. I love Costco. We go every month (it is an hour drive) and stock up on juice, diapers, wet wipes, meat, bread, and this time - an iTouch. We had some guys, who are set to deploy, over for dinner on Sunday and one of them had an iTouch....so naturally Merrill needed to go get one ASAP. Braxton is very excited...it has lots of games- and Jake should be excited too - Braxton wont be asking to use his iPhone anymore when we see you guys!

Feb. Birthdays

Braxton got to invite friends from church and school over for his birthday. They played with balloons, had Hot Dogs, Cupcakes, and got to open presents! For a game we decorated balloons with face stickers, and then popped them out in the garage right before the party was over.

With the gift cards fron the grand parents, he was able to get 2 big sets of Legos - and he has them all put together. He can put them together all by him self too!

For Sophie we didnt have anyone over - like she cares! We had a chocolate bundt cake and she was so funny! didnt want to touch it. Both grandparents sent $$$ (she started dancing to the music in the card from my parents. It was so cute...she is such a girl!) so we got a ball popper thing from Target and a new front-facing car seat! Now she can see where we are going all the time. Merrill got her a glow worm on his way home from work - she is very in to babies! She wants to haul them around where ever she goes....and a baby isnt a baby doll - its any REALLY soft stuffed animal or glow worm.

I am too frustrated with this blogger thing to get all the pictures in the right place....so you can figure it out on your own.
