Letters

Braxton learned his letters this past Easter. He has just started to write them - on a mini Magna-Doodle. Yesterday we were outside with Natalie and made a chalk track for the bike. He decided he needed a stop sign. So Natalie did the shape - and Braxton wrote the word. Sounded it out and all. He is getting big - I think it must be time to start working with him on maybe reading/sounding out words....?
Weired to think I'm 26 and need to start teaching my first born to read!

Awesome! Way to go Braxton. My two cents, "Teach your child to read in 100 Easy Lessons"by Siegfried Engelmann,Phyllis Haddow and Elaine Bruner. Focuses on phonics and is especially geared toward early readers. It is a really good program.

Somebody needs to put that kid in GATE:) hehe, no seriously that is really impressive. Luke can't even copy a letter I draw for him. He can barely draw a strait line.

That is amazing. What a smartie. It sounds like you don't even have to teach him, he'll just figure it out himself :)
